Employee Right-to-Know/Hazard Communications

This course offers an education on a wide range of health hazards that chemicals pose in the workplace such as; irritation, sensitization, and carcinogenicity. It also discusses the physical hazards such as flammability, corrosion, and reactivity of certain substances. When employees possess this knowledge they can effectively participate in their employer’s protective programs, and take necessary steps to protect themselves. In addition, the course will review the standard for employers, discuss how to effectively disseminate information, and what is needed to design and implement an effective and compliant program.

We will also review the requirements on the proper labeling of hazards and discuss in detail the material safety data sheets (MSDS).
